By participating in a clean up, you’re helping to keep this part of the neighborhood vibrant and welcoming.
We love student involvement and gladly encourage it too! Volunteering with HERO is a great way for students to earn community service credits for college applications or to build a strong resume. Join us to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience.

We’re taking a short break from clean-ups this December to pour our energy into two special projects that celebrate El Rio’s beauty and spirit — the El Rio Community Art & Mental Wellness Project and the El Rio Memory Garden.

The County of Ventura will be joining us to help and share info about the services they offer El Rio residents. Come meet our county reps, ask questions, and learn how they serve our community.

Sat, Sep 20Rio Plaza Elementary SchoolIn addition to a community clean up, we will also be partnering with SAMO Fund to give away FREE native milkweed! Join us for one or both of these events, however please note that you MUST RSVP in order to receive free milkweed. This is so SAMO Fund knows how much milkweed to bring.
