We’re keeping the momentum going! While April will be dedicated to bringing our mural and rock garden to life, we’ll be back out in the neighborhood for our next clean-up in May.
By participating in a clean-up, you’re helping keep our neighborhoods vibrant, welcoming, and cared for. Every bag picked up makes a visible difference—and builds pride in the place we call home.
We love seeing students get involved. Volunteering with HERO is a great way to earn community service hours for college applications, strengthen your resume, and be part of something meaningful right here in your community.

The County of Ventura will be joining us to help and share info about the services they offer El Rio residents. Come meet our county reps, ask questions, and learn how they serve our community.

Sat, Sep 20Rio Plaza Elementary SchoolIn addition to a community clean up, we will also be partnering with SAMO Fund to give away FREE native milkweed! Join us for one or both of these events, however please note that you MUST RSVP in order to receive free milkweed. This is so SAMO Fund knows how much milkweed to bring.
