3395 N. Rose Avenue Oxnard, CA 93036

Planted with the help of community members and students from Rio Mesa High School, this little strip of land behind the bus stop has blossomed into a living symbol of hope. It’s filled with California Goldenrod, Common Yarrow, Coyote Mint, White Sage, and Narrow Leaf Milkweed — plants beloved by pollinators and known for their gentle fragrances.

The community is invited to add a decorated rock with a positive message, a reminder for all who pass to stay encouraged along their own journey. As the Western Monarch Butterfly makes its migration, this garden will serve as a resting place — much like El Rio itself, a home for those who have journeyed far and continue to thrive together.
